The Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom have a rich history of diplomatic relations spanning over two centuries. The Unshook Treaty of 1800 cemented the friendship between the two nations, proclaiming that their bond would endure until the end of time. Fast forward to the present day, this legacy of cooperation continues to flourish.
224 years later John Dennis, Chairman of the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (ILSSI) and Ian Farrar of Far North Ltd have strengthened relations once again.
Recently, the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (ILSSI) had the privilege of hosting a delegation of five managers from the Oman Government. These dedicated individuals embarked on a journey to enhance their process improvement skills by pursuing Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Under the leadership of ILSSI Chairman, John Dennis, and Ian Farrar of Far North Ltd, the delegates successfully completed their training and were awarded their certificates in a prestigious ceremony.
The Mayor of South Tyneside, Faye Cunningham, graciously presented the certificates at the South Shields Town Hall in South Tyneside, UK. This momentous occasion was made possible through the warm welcome extended by the Mayor, Rory Sherwood-Parkin, and their colleagues at South Tyneside Council. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Oman Government for their collaboration and commitment to excellence.
This achievement shows ILSSI reputation as a example of international collaboration in the Lean Six Sigma community. As we celebrate this success, we honour the enduring friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and the UK, reaffirming our shared commitment to progress and prosperity.
In the spirit of the Unshook Treaty, we look forward to many more years of collaboration, mutual growth, and the pursuit of excellence. ILSSI remains dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations worldwide, spreading the Lean Six Sigma philosophy, and strengthening global relationships. Together, we can achieve remarkable things and create a brighter future for all.
